TN-Murfreesboro: ActOnClimate Climate Change Event

Matt Ferry of Murfreesboro writes:

Nearly a dozen volunteers came out on April Fools for a  Climate Change Day of Action that was held in the Franklin town square. Supporters came together to tell our Representative Marsha Blackburn to stop being a Climate Denier. At the event, we heard from three great speakers who helped show that Climate Change is real. Our first speaker, Ryan Edwards of Brentwood, told us about ways to help save our environment and help businesses make money by recycling programs similar to the one he has helped implement at his work. We also heard from Nashville resident Jules Charlemagne, who is proposing a private bus service in East Nashville. In addition, Murfreesboro native Patrick Conley  told us about how the world we enjoy now is already unraveling, and we need to start real action on Climate Change now. Following the rally, volunteers delivered the new IPCC report to Marsha Blackburn’s staff to help her see that the facts surrounding Climate Change are undisputed.

We’re stronger when we ACT together. Join the action:

[TAKE ACTION]
